We don't meet the grading criteria - what happens now?

A Club has until the 31 March in each season to meet the relevant Ground Grading requirements.

A Club failing to adhere to the required Ground Grading requirements by 31 March will be relegated to the Step Level below on completion of the playing season.

In this instance, a Club seeking promotion having been relegated for failing to meet the requirements in a previous season, would only be eligible for promotion if they had since met what was previously required of them. This is covered by the NLS Regulations.

Clubs should make every effort to adhere to the Ground Grading requirements in order to preserve their Step Level status and avoid creating a 'bottle neck' of Clubs that cannot be promoted owing to the Regulation above.
