The criteria seems excessive to the size of our Club, how are the 'levels' set?

The various levels of ground grading criteria were initiated a number of years ago following proposals put forward by the Leagues of the NLS. These documents are reviewed annually in order to ensure that they remain up-to-date and are reflective of a modern NLS.

The documents are designed in such a way that a Club can progress from what is in some cases a level of facility up from a traditional park pitch to that of a stadia which would be capable of entry to the EFL.

Whilst sometimes the required criteria does not get utilised each game - for example the number of seats in a stand - the flow of the criteria documents means that investment into a Club's facilities is a progressive and incremental one, rather than being faced with a large amount of work to do and higher expenditure once a Club reaches the higher echelons of the NLS.
